Antique tiffin

Very beautiful antique brass tiffins, heavy weighted and  perfectly proportioned with a deep brass patina. 

Traditionally used to carry a hot meal, with rice, curry and flatbread in each compartment... and a pickle pot tucked beneath the ornate handle. 

The system of opening and closing is a gift of Indian ingenious confusion, in the most beautiful way !
